Unique Stunt Jumps
Portland
It's worth starting these jumps right at the beginning of the game, since they give you tons of cash for it – which is a good base for buying weapons. Really, only one vehicle is available at this point: the Banshee in the "belly" of the Easy Credit car showroom. Smash the shop window, get into the Banshee, and let's see what needs to be done on the first island!
- Coming out of your hideout, turn left and go down to the waterfront. On the grassy part to the left of that, as you reach the pedestrian overpass, you'll see a concrete ramp. Well, this is the jump, of course you have to jump from south to north, and you have to catch the whole thing so that you don't touch the overpass. It's not hard, you have enough room, although the bumpy road surface can make things harder for you.
- Again we start from the hideout, also to the left. Let's head toward the Callahan bridge. Now, one part of the four-lane road goes downward, the other continues on the same level. You have to stay on the latter, and after the little support pillars turn in under the bridge, onto the grass. There'll be a tiny hill here as the jump, and you have to cross the obstacle in front of you so that you don't really touch it with the car. It might work out like this: full throttle all the way from the hideout, and with the right corrections you jump at it right away. You can also prepare for it, but because of the smaller patch (and the short run-up), I recommend the immediate method.
- In Chinatown there's a subway entrance, and right there the plank ramp practically calls attention to itself. You have to jump up onto the tracks of the elevated railway, there can be no problem, you only have to watch out for the traffic.
- Let's take the Callahan bridge as the starting point. Go straight, then at the yellow sign go down to the left. Go straight, and if the road turns, don't follow it, but tear out onto the shore. On the left you see a mound of earth, well, this will be the jump. The run-up is long, but it needs to be, since you have to fly across the water. One more piece of advice: try to catch the hill roughly in the middle.
- Where you landed, there will be a few planks leaning against a fence (at the disco where you'll have to bring Maria later). You have to get through the first warehouse without a scratch. The run-up is nice and long, go to the end of the pier, there's a hidden package here too. The trouble is that here at the trees you have to correct strongly, so that you catch the planks properly, in the middle. A slight left-right correction at the trees might be needed, but after that try not to steer, otherwise you'll crash and burn.
- Let's start from the bridge, straight to the bus garage, then back toward the bridge. On the left, on a grassy area, there will be a plank contraption as the jump. Here too you have to get through the building, of course without touching it. Reverse back (preferably be in a straight line with the ramp), then wait until there's no traffic, then giddy up. If it doesn't work, you can also try from farther away.
- Go to the harbor. After the gate, on the right, in front of the trailer there's a jump. You have to jump so that you don't touch anything. It's not a hard task.
- A tough nut: going from Staunton to Portland, go down the middle until you reach the yellow-black ramp. Jump so that you land below, without touching the structure of the bridge. The difficulty is that the "Welcome" sign can throw you off, so I suggest we take the job at the beginning of the game, because with the Banshee we can get in right along the edge of the bridge. Go to the break, U-turn, in to the middle, and from there floor it. Don't worry if you don't make it...
Staunton Island
I can't say much here: sports cars are running around in the city. There are 4 major jumps on the island - the requests can be completed with any of the sports cars.
- On top of the multi-level parking garage near Asuka's house you'll find a jump in the SW corner. It's not hard, running at it from the opposite direction with a good machine, the jump works out.
- Let's go to Asuka's house now, all the way to the containers. On the left there are two concrete ramps, and in the southeastern part a mound of earth. Well, this will be the jump, you have to jump across the water. It's pretty embarrassing that if the force of the launch is small, you land in the water, if it's big, you overshoot the target, water again. I first did it with an Infernus, the second time I tried with a Stinger, but you have to measure out the area yourself. There's no real tip, try to fit between the "two waters".
- We're going from the hideout now, left, right, out onto the highway, then south. You have to go up onto the concrete structure separating the two carriageways, then push it, but not too hard, since there will be a few obstacles – the trees, of course. It's best if after the first ttree you steer the vehicle in the right direction at full throttle, and go to the takeoff like that. The goal is to jump over the Callahan bridge. (Infernus is the basic choice)
- Heading south from the Callahan bridge, going left, you'll find an internet cafe with loads of computers. Your goal is to break through the middle sign, charge up the stairs, jump out of the upstairs window, onto the sidewalk opposite. I did this with a Banshee, but any well-accelerating machine is a great tool for this task.
Shoreside Vale
We'll get the first few jumps done at the airport. If you get stuck in the chaos there, you can tear out with a police car. An Infernus is parked in the closed parking lot, keep this in mind if your ride starts smoking.
- Follow the road from the barrier. There'll be a turn south, then right away up to the west – here you see a plane, with a staircase in front of it. Reverse back, then floor it from there – a Banshee is recommended for this task, but an Infernus can be a perfect solution too.
- After the previous one, go west. The road turns, and in the bend, a hangar stands opposite – well, you have to fly through this, you can use any of the yellow-white striped jumps on its left side. Reverse back with, for example, a Cheetah all the way to the grassy part, and from there floor it. It's also important that you catch the jump in the middle.
- Keep going south. Where the road turns, there's a hangar opposite, three jumps on the right, helicopters in the area. Go west as far as the track allows, then off you go, you have to fly through the building again.
- Further north from the helicopters, on the grass, along the runway you'll find another hangar, also with three jumps. The task is the same, you won't have trouble with an Infernus.
- From the airport go toward the city, on the road leading out of the tunnel. On the right there will be two billboards one after the other, a red 69th Street one and one saying Mean Street Taxis. A dirt road passes in front of these, leading to a collapsed wooden bridge. Well, this is the jump, with the right momentum there can be no problem.
- Start on the previous road from the airport side, follow the road, and go north. Go up the hill, it goes off to the west. At the top there's a dirt road on the right, and on the left the yard of the Undercover Storage Company, you have to drive in here, but not through the gate, rather turn the corner and go in through the other one, between the white tanks. The ramp is straight ahead, from the other side of the road you can get a big run-up. You have to catch the jump a little to the left side, the goal is the area opposite, closed off by a fence.
- Back to the previous yard, cross to the right at the jump. Here there's a small space between the building and the fence, and at the end of it another plank ramp. You have to land on the roof of the five-garage building. The run-up is short, but it can be done with a Banshee
- The last jump is next, but the hardest part of it is finding it. Your hideout will be the starting point. Drive straight out and go down the hill, then right, through the tunnel. Go past the graffiti underpass, under the bridge, up the mountain. On the left side the road is blocked by a grassy rocky ridge. This is the jump! You have to fly across the water, to the mainland. You start from under the bridge with a fast machine, and that way you can get the task done.
