GTA VITrailers
The first GTA VI trailer is here
Rockstar put the first Grand Theft Auto VI trailer on YouTube about half a day early after a low-quality copy leaked on Twitter. Vice City, two protagonists, a 2025 release.

The day many of us waited for has come: Rockstar Games has published the first Grand Theft Auto VI trailer on its official YouTube channel. The video went up roughly half a day ahead of schedule, because a low-quality version leaked on Twitter.
Here it is:

The leak came from an account called @Gta6trailerleak, which was suspended soon after. The leaked clip was promoting Bitcoin, by the way. Classy.
What the trailer confirms
Here's what it settles:
- the official title is Grand Theft Auto VI;
- the release is set for 2025, but there is no exact date yet;
- the setting is Vice City, Leonida, the series' version of Miami;
- according to the press release, it is coming to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
No word on a PC version. Not that we're surprised.
Two protagonists
The game has a male and a female lead. 80 Level says they are Jason and Lucia, who first showed up in the 2022 leak. GamesRadar+ instead calls the female character the series' first female protagonist and says her male counterpart isn't named yet. So the two sources don't fully agree, and we haven't seen an official name.
Vice City like we haven't seen it
The video shows beaches, wetlands, highways, night clubs, rooftop spots, alligator-infested pools and jails, with a strong social media presence in a modern-day setting.
Sam Houser, founder of Rockstar Games, said in the announcement:
Grand Theft Auto VI continues our efforts to push the limits of what's possible in highly immersive, story-driven open-world experiences. We're thrilled to be able to share this new vision with players everywhere.
Story details and the exact release date are still unknown. Old-timers know Vice City is a special place for us, so staying calm is hard.
What did you think of the trailer? Let us know! ;)
