Jason and Lucia's romance: optional, and it can end
Rockstar says the romance between Jason and Lucia in GTA VI is optional and shaped by your choices. Neglect it and they can break up, but they keep working together.

According to Rockstar, the romance between the two leads of Grand Theft Auto VI is optional, so you don't have to play Jason and Lucia as a couple.

The starting point is set, though. Rockstar says the pair begin the game interested in pursuing a romantic relationship with each other. From there, how things develop depends on your actions and decisions throughout the game.
Rockstar has indicated that neglecting the relationship for too long could result in Jason and Lucia breaking up. So a Bonnie and Clyde duo can go cold if you treat it like background noise. I like that, honestly. It's a bit more than a dating sim tacked onto a crime story.

A breakup doesn't split the story, either. Even then, the two remain closely tied through the main story and keep working together.
The official trailers already show brief intimate moments between Jason and Lucia, such as a shower scene. The official ESRB rating on Rockstar's site also lists Nudity and Strong Sexual Content among its content descriptors (the game is rated Mature), so the game does have such content officially. The characters page on our site has more about Jason and Lucia.
What we don't know yet: how you reach such scenes in play, whether you can trigger intimate scenes yourself, or whether that requires reaching a certain level in the relationship. Rockstar has also been asked about marriage and has neither confirmed nor denied that it will be in the game. And leaked CyberLeek footage reportedly showed nudity and sexual content, but that is a leak and not something Rockstar has shown. We wrote about it in our earlier article.
