Pißwasser, Patriot and a Vice City lager get US label approval
US regulators have approved labels for three Grand Theft Auto beers from Miami-area brewery Tripping Animals. Neither Rockstar nor the brewery has announced them yet.

Three beer brands from the Grand Theft Auto series now have approved labels in the United States. According to IGN and PC Gamer, the federal Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB) has signed off on labels for Pißwasser, Patriot Beer and No Mames Vice City, all made by Florida brewery Tripping Animals Brewing.
The two outlets name different fans as the source of the find. IGN credits iGrandTheftAuto. PC Gamer credits GTAVice.net, which spotted the labels in the TTB database. PC Gamer then checked the approvals itself through the label tracking site Hopgrail.
According to PC Gamer, the No Mames Vice City label was approved on October 9, and the Pißwasser and Patriot labels followed on October 15.
The three beers
- No Mames Vice City: a 6% ABV American lager. IGN says it appears to be a rebrand of the brewery's existing No Mames lager. The label shows a small dog in sunglasses wearing a Vice City chain.
- Patriot Beer: a 4.2% ABV American lager.
- Pißwasser: a 4.2% ABV lager, although its label calls it a pilsner.
What isn't confirmed
A label approval is a public government record, not a product launch. Neither Rockstar nor Tripping Animals has announced the beers, and PC Gamer stresses that none of them is confirmed to actually go on sale. Patriot and Pißwasser are not yet listed on the Tripping Animals website.
It is also unclear when and where they would be sold. IGN suggests they may be limited to bars or in-person events around Miami. The brewery's own website says its distribution covers only Miami and the surrounding area, so anyone hoping to pick up a six-pack of Pißwasser elsewhere should probably not plan around it.
Part of the Miami push
The timing fits Rockstar's marketing in the city. IGN lists in-universe brand ads around Miami, a Vice City blimp over Florida and the Miami Heat arena being transformed ahead of a Vice City-themed NBA game in November. Rockstar is also advertising in Paris, New York City, Chicago and Los Angeles.
Whether the beers become part of that campaign has not been announced.
