Real-life GTA VI cars spotted in a convoy on Miami streets
Real cars dressed as GTA VI vehicles, with Leonida plates and a police Lamborghini, were filmed driving through Miami. Rockstar hasn't commented, but the stunt fits its ongoing campaign in the city.

Real cars modified to look like their Grand Theft Auto VI counterparts were filmed driving through Miami in a tight convoy today. They carried Leonida license plates, the plates of the game's fictional Florida. IGN, Insider Gaming and GamesRadar+ all reported the sighting, based on clips and photos shared on social media. Rockstar Games has not made a statement.
The footage spread on X through a post by @videotech, citing @WillMacGTA, which said Rockstar "appear to be" marketing the game in Miami with a street car showcase. The outlets link the convoy to Rockstar because of the official-looking liveries and plates and the company's ongoing campaign in the city. Nobody has confirmed it.

The car that stands out most is a Lamborghini in police colors, a Huracan according to an X user quoted by IGN. IGN describes the livery as VCPD. Insider Gaming, working from images posted on X by GTASixInfo, calls it "Vice Beach Police". Insider also points out that Lamborghini itself won't be in the game, and that Rockstar uses its cars as inspiration for fictional sports cars. A McLaren was made to look like a Progen Emerus.
The reports list slightly different cars. IGN names real-life versions of the Cheetah, Coquette D10, Tempesta and Manana. Insider Gaming's images include a real Coquette with a Vice City wrap. GamesRadar+ points to an r/GTA6 clip of the cars filling up at a Miami gas station, and the poster listed a Manana, Buccaneer, Tempesta, Cheetah, Coquette D10 and Emerus. Vice City supercars need fuel too, apparently.
A separate Reddit thread shows the group moving through traffic behind a Vice City Police Department car. Commenters cited that clip as evidence the footage isn't AI-generated.
The local news page Only in Dade also saw some of the cars parked at a gas station, with the Goodyear blimp, carrying its own GTA VI ad, hovering in the distance.
The stunt follows other Miami marketing. Insider Gaming mentions a Vice City-themed blimp and a stadium takeover. IGN adds beach takeovers and a collaboration with the Miami Heat, which some Miami officials have raised concerns about.
Reaction online has been mostly positive. One Reddit commenter quoted by GamesRadar+ wrote: "Man, they just handed their marketing director a blank cheque and told them to have fun, didn't they?"
According to Insider Gaming, Rockstar released the GTA VI launch trailer yesterday.
