Somewhere out there, a few people are allegedly playing GTA VI right now. And they can't tell you a damn thing.
That's the claim from insider NateTheHate2, who says on X that Rockstar has begun distributing review codes to media outlets, with a review embargo of November 18th. The post is here: NateTheHate2 on X.
If the codes are out, some people are playing about three weeks before release.
What we don't know yet: there's no official confirmation of the codes or the embargo date, so for now this is a rumor. The expectation is that the codes go to journalists from the big gaming sites and publications, plus people on the panels for upcoming gaming awards. Further chatter says every review copy will carry a watermark with the reviewer's name on screen, so any leak points straight back to whoever leaked it. Smart trap, if true.
