Wardogs developer takes December off: "Go play GTA VI"
Bulkhead, the studio behind Early Access shooter Wardogs, is closing for all of December and says openly that GTA VI is the reason.

Bulkhead, the developer of the Early Access PC sandbox multiplayer shooter Wardogs, is taking all of December off. The break is meant to give the team a rest before the road to the game's 1.0 launch.
The studio is not dressing it up. CEO Joe Brammer told Edge Magazine: "Go play GTA VI, we need to detox." He added that in December, players can tell the team to "f**k off".
That is unusual. Most publishers that rearrange their plans around Grand Theft Auto VI do it quietly, while Bulkhead named the game's impact outright. The others mostly adjusted their timing: they either released their games earlier, in the September crunch, or pushed them into early 2027. Star Citizen chief Chris Roberts said he delayed Squadron 42 into next year to avoid the "attention buzz saw of GTA VI".
Grand Theft Auto VI launches on November 19 on PS5 and Xbox, not PC, so the pressure is on attention rather than on a shared platform. IGN expects it to be the biggest entertainment launch of all time, and analysts forecast more than $5 billion for the first week, which is the scale a small team would be competing against.
