Gangs
In every GTA, gangs rule the streets. It's no different in GTA San Andreas. These gangs are introduced now, with pictures added to make it easy to understand.
Grove Street Families
Territory: Grove Street, Ganton, Los Santos
We find Carl in the gang called the Grove Street Families. The gang is made up of the local family and friends. They really hate drugs, which are ruining the streets of Los Santos. The gang started to decline because they didn't get into the drug business. But Carl wants to change that. He'd like it to be the most powerful gang in Los Santos. The senior members are: Sean "Sweet" Johnson, Melvin "Big Smoke" Harris, Lance "Ryder" Wilson, Mark "B-Dup" Wayne and Barry "Big Bear" Thorne. The gang's biggest rival is the Ballas. Members of the Grove Street Families wear green clothes.
Ballas
Territory: Idlewood, Los Santos
The Ballas are one of the big criminal organizations in Los Santos. The gang first showed up on the streets in 1970. They are involved in shady drug dealing, prostitution, arms trading and vandalism. Every gang is their sworn enemy, especially the Grove Street Families. They are connected to the Mexican drug deals and the Russian arms trade. The Ballas are famous for their purple outfits, which supposedly stand for respect on the streets.
Varrios Los Aztecas
Territory: Little Mexico, San Andreas
The Varrios Los Aztecas are an extremely dangerous Spanish gang. Proud. Mentally unstable. Violent. They deal in gun smuggling. They are anti-drug. Their big enemy is the Los Santos Vagos. They are rivals with the other Los Santos gangs too. They also hate the gang called San Fierro Rifa. Their known clothing is turquoise blue.
Los Santos Vagos
Territory: East Los Santos, Los Santos
The Los Santos Vagos are the other very dangerous Spanish gang. This is a street gang. Their clothes are yellow. Their sworn enemy is the Varrios Los Aztecas.
Da Nang Boys
Territory: San Fierro
A gang made up of Vietnamese. They are very violent. They fight a lot of wars with the local Chinese (Triad) gang. Defending their territory is important to them.
San Fierro Rifa
Territory: San Fierro
A small gang in San Fierro. They deal in drugs. They strongly hate the Varrios Los Aztecas.
Triads
Territory: San Fierro
The Triad is a Chinese gang in San Fierro. Their leaders are Wu Zi Mu and Ran Fa Li. They have a lot of problems with the gang called the Da Nang Boys. They have a betting office in San Fierro. In Las Venturas they control the Four Dragons Casino. In Las Venturas their big enemy is the Mafia.
Mafia
Territory: Las Venturas
The Mafia is the biggest criminal organization in Liberty City, led by Don Salvatore Leone, who moved to San Andreas. The Caligula's Palace belongs to them. Their big opponent is the Triad. They tried to ruin the Triad's casino, the Four Dragons Casino, with fake chips.
