Virgin Media will pay one person in Ireland €800 to play GTA VI
Virgin Media has launched an Ireland-only promotion that pays one randomly chosen entrant €100 an hour to play Grand Theft Auto VI for eight hours, GameSpot reports. Entries close on November 15.
Virgin Media has announced a promotion that will pay one person to play Grand Theft Auto VI, GameSpot reports. It is open only to people in Ireland.
The pay is €100 an hour ($111), so €800 ($891) for the full eight hours, and the winner can split those hours across the week. Virgin Media will buy the $100 Ultimate Edition, but the winner needs their own PS5 or Xbox Series X|S.
Entrants have to explain in 100-200 words on the contest site why they deserve to be paid to play. The essay is a formality of sorts, since the winner is picked at random. Applications close on November 15, and Virgin Media says it will contact the winner within seven days.
There is a marketing condition. The winner must post a review on Instagram or TikTok, tag Virgin Media and disclose that it is a paid ad.
This is a third-party campaign, not a Rockstar announcement.
