Sensor Tower: GTA VI pre-orders rose for three weeks in October
Analytics firm Sensor Tower estimates weekly GTA VI pre-orders at 330,000, 370,000 and then 470,000 across three weeks in October. They are third-party estimates, not Rockstar data.
Sensor Tower estimates that Grand Theft Auto VI drew 470,000 pre-orders in the week commencing October 20, according to GTAVice.net and iGrandTheftAuto, which carry the figures in their headlines.
That follows 370,000 in the week of October 13 and 330,000 in the week of October 6. Weekly pre-orders rose each week, and the latest figure is about 42% above the first. That comparison is ours, not Sensor Tower's.
Treat the numbers with care. Sensor Tower is a third-party analytics firm, so these are estimates, not Rockstar or Take-Two data. The articles we could read contained little beyond the headlines, so the platforms covered and the method behind the estimates are not confirmed.
Neither Rockstar nor Take-Two has published pre-order numbers, and Microsoft has shared none for Xbox either.
