Grand Theft Auto has won more awards.. These days it's become normal for our favourite series to be showered with one lovely award after another. This year GTA: San Andreas took first place at the Golden Joystick Awards held in London.
Grand Theft Auto: Trilogy in Europe only in November
One news post down, you could read about the pre-orders of the new GTA editions, but back then we didn't yet know that the date referred to the American release.
New GTA Editions Available for Pre-order
Two weeks ago we reported on Take 2's announcement that from October 18 Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy will be available for Xbox and Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas Special Edition for PlayStation 2. As of today, both editions can be pre-ordered, either from Take 2 or from the Rockstar online store.
The Trilogy and San Andreas Special Edition
*Take2* has announced that Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy will soon be released for Xbox, and Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas Special Edition for PlayStation 2. The Xbox trilogy naturally includes GTA3, Vice City and San Andreas.
New Shipment for the Arsenal
Alongside the mass-produced vehicles, mods that cater to other needs are starting to appear. For now I can only report on two weapon packs, but more add-ons will most likely be out in the near future.
SA-MP Called Off
I came across a sad notice when I visited the San Andreas Multiplayer site, hoping for some news. The news was unexpected, and sad: kyeman, the project's leader, is unable to continue his work and has left the team.
San Andreas Giveaway: The Winner!
As promised, we closed our San Andreas giveaway on Monday, September 12th. A total of 194 answers arrived by the deadline, and to our great surprise, a large percentage of them were wrong.
Take2 Report: Third Quarter of 2005
Take2 Interactive, the publisher responsible for the GTA games, held a conference call in the middle of the week, on Wednesday, where the company reported on its third fiscal quarter of 2005.
GTA Trilogy Tribute
Jordan Liles, webmaster of Planet GTA, has made a great video called GTA Trilogy Tribute. It's made up of scenes cut from GTA3, GTA: VC and GTA: SA, and over six minutes it tries to capture the atmosphere of the games and show what we've been through so far.
Prize Draw Final Stretch
Our GTA: San Andreas prize draw started at the beginning of August, where the lucky winner can take home an original copy of San Andreas for PC, kindly donated by Game X Kft. The contest is nearing its end, and entries can be sent in until September 12.
MTA: SA Updates
I guess every true fanatic keeps an eye on the official [MultiTheftAuto](https://web.archive.org/web/20051117170103/http://mtavc.com/) website; almost a week ago a report on the current state of the program appeared on the site.
2 Player Missions Beta
The beta version of a San Andreas modification called 2 Missions has been released. With this mod, a feature that comes standard in the PlayStation2 version will be available in the game too, meaning two people can play at the same time, which wasn't possible until now because DirectX didn't support it.
