Rockstar is hiring a security compliance lead in Bengaluru

Rockstar Games has posted a new opening for a Security Compliance Operations Lead at its studio in Bengaluru, India. The listing is on Rockstar's official Greenhouse job board and describes a full-time role worked from the office.

According to the posting, the new lead will "manage and mature a security assurance function within Security GRC". In practice that means making sure key security safeguards work as intended across Rockstar's technology environments worldwide. The job covers the strategy for validating controls, automation to scale that validation, evidence collection and reporting, and giving leadership a clear view of the company's security posture and how risk is being reduced.

The requirements are specific. Rockstar asks for at least seven years in information security, security compliance, security operations, GRC, technology risk management or a related field, and certifications such as CISSP, CISA, CISM or CRISC. Candidates should also have experience applying the CIS Critical Security Controls across identity and access management, endpoints, vulnerabilities, cloud, network, logging, incident response and third-party risk.

The listing says the Rockstar Games Security team aims to "safeguard our business and protect our players". Its work ranges from endpoint protection to security incident and event monitoring. Few players will ever see this team's work, which is more or less the point.

GTAVice.net and iGrandTheftAuto, which reported the listing, note that it follows several recent Rockstar openings in cybersecurity, vulnerability management, anti-cheat and game security. They read it as another sign of the work going on behind the scenes to protect Rockstar's systems, games, services and sensitive information. The posting itself does not name any game, so any link to GTA VI or GTA Online is the outlets' interpretation, not Rockstar's.

The position is currently open on Rockstar's Greenhouse board.
