Rockstar hiring for Publishing and Marketing Analytics in New York
Rockstar Games has posted two senior roles at its Manhattan headquarters: a Project Coordinator for Publishing and a Data Scientist for Marketing Analytics. Neither listing mentions GTA VI.
Rockstar Games is hiring for two senior positions at its New York headquarters. GTAVice.net and iGrandTheftAuto reported both listings from the company's Greenhouse job board. One is a Senior Project Coordinator in the Publishing department. The other is a Senior Data Scientist for web and marketing analytics.
The Publishing department works with Strategic Planning, Online Services, Business Development, Commerce, Marketing, and Consumer Insights & Analytics to assess new opportunities and lead strategic projects. According to the listing, the department makes sure plans are carried out, "including the always on marketing of our Online game titles, Grand Theft Auto Online, and Red Dead Online." The coordinator would track key milestones and strategic roadmaps, manage requirements and dependencies across teams, and follow success metrics for key projects. Rockstar asks for at least four years of experience in project management and operations.
The second role is with the Marketing Analytics team. It is full-time and office-based, at Rockstar's headquarters in Downtown Manhattan. The new hire would identify, track and analyse real-time and historical data from Rockstar's websites and all of its games, combining web analytics with game and business data. The listing says the team's projects have "direct influence on the player experience." Applicants need six or more years of web data analysis, a mastery of Google Analytics 4 or an equivalent, Google Tag Manager expertise, and SQL or PySpark. Experience with A/B testing, paid media, email, social, SEO, AEO and e-commerce is listed as a plus.
GTA VI is not mentioned in either listing. iGrandTheftAuto expects the Publishing department to play a significant role in coordinating projects around the release as launch approaches and marketing ramps up. That is the site's own reading, and Rockstar has said nothing of the kind. Job ads rarely name the game they are for, and these two are no different.
Both listings are posted on Rockstar's careers page on Greenhouse.
