GTA VI is now coming on May 26, 2026
Rockstar Games has set a new release date for Grand Theft Auto VI: May 26, 2026. The studio apologised for the later date and promised more information soon.
Rockstar Games announced on its Newswire today that Grand Theft Auto VI is now set to release on May 26, 2026.
The studio apologised for the date being later than players expected, and thanked fans for their support and patience. The reason it gave is that it needs the extra time to deliver the level of quality players expect and deserve. Rockstar also said it looks forward to sharing more information soon.
That is all the statement says. As Malay Mail points out, the game has not had a full gameplay reveal yet, and there is no specific timeline for the next update either. All we have so far is the teaser trailer from December 2023, which has gathered hundreds of millions of views.
So the wait gets longer, and I won't pretend that's good news. Still, the date comes straight from the developer, and Rockstar has a history of choosing polish over deadlines. We'll see.
What do you think, is the new date realistic? Let us know. Stay with us, and we'll report as soon as Rockstar shares anything new.
