GTA VI: the first six radio stations are here, and podcasts are coming too
Rockstar has revealed six Grand Theft Auto VI radio stations and their hosts. For the first time in the series there will be podcasts, and with headphones the music keeps playing on foot.

Rockstar Games pulled back the curtain on the Grand Theft Auto VI radio today on the Newswire: six Leonida stations with their hosts, plus the news that for the first time in the series there will be podcasts. According to Rockstar, this is the biggest and widest-ranging selection of in-game radio yet, from Classic Rock to Talk Radio.
The podcasts sit on top of Leonida's regular radio and can be played on demand. The other new thing: Jason and Lucia can plug headphones and earbuds into their smartphones, so radio and podcasts work on foot too, not just behind the wheel. (Finally, no need to steal a car just to hear a good song.) A few new screenshots came along with the announcement, and you'll find them throughout this article.

The six stations
Let's take them one by one:
- Cocoteo FM: modern Latin music, bachata, merengue, dembow and reggaeton. Your hosts are El Martillo and La Gata.
- Back Country Radio: renegade country from MW and Delta Dawne, broadcasting to Grassrivers and Port Gellhorn. Roving reporter and swamp meteorologist Mud Dog Mike checks in from his airboat.
- AfroBank FM: African music from 20th-century classics to amapiano and 3-step, with Burna and Palmsy.
- The Chamber 106.6: the metal station, run by DJ Kerry and DJ Tom.
- Flash FM: the pop station is back, and Rockstar simply calls it a Vice City institution. This time Robyn and Alex are behind the mic. (The part of me that grew up on Vice City just sighed happily.)
- Dirty South Classics: Southern rap and hip-hop classics with Trick and Trina.
You can preview all six in the Music section of the official site.

Who are the voices?
The Newswire post only gave the character names. IGN, apparently working from Rockstar's new music site, also listed the voices and some of the songs. So these come from IGN:
- Cocoteo FM: El Martillo is voiced by Bad Bunny, La Gata by RaiNao. Songs include Bad Bunny's EoO.
- Back Country Radio: MW is Morgan Wallen, Delta Dawne is Lana Del Rey and Mud Dog Mike is Jeremy Dufrene. Loretta Lynn's Don't Come Home A-Drinkin' is on the list.
- AfroBank FM: Burna is Burna Boy, Palmsy is Palms Trax. Asake's Joha is in rotation.
- The Chamber 106.6: DJ Kerry is Kerry King, DJ Tom is Tom Araya. Expect Slayer's Raining Blood and Black Sabbath's I.
- Flash FM: Robyn plays herself, Alex is Alex Consani. Charli xcx's Good Ones and MGMT's Electric Feel are on it.
- Dirty South Classics: Trick is Trick Daddy, Trina plays herself. DJ Khaled's Born N Raised with Trick Daddy, Rick Ross and Pitbull is on the playlist.
The album and the rest
Rockstar promises more later, including details on the game's dynamic score and more singles from GTA VI: The Album. The album, announced last month, has 34 original tracks, with artists like Travis Scott, Future and Morgan Wallen according to Insider Gaming. You can pre-save it now, or pre-order it on vinyl and CD at gtavi-thealbum.com.
The timing is a little spicy: IGN says the announcement landed hours after 25 minutes of new gameplay leaked online, attributed to a source called Cyberleek. None of that is confirmed, and Rockstar hasn't responded to it.
