Burger Shot opens in Miami as GTA VI marketing reaches fast food
Rockstar Games and Skinny Louie are turning the chain's Florida stores into Burger Shot until December 31, starting at the Miami Heat's Kaseya Center.

Burger Shot, the fast food chain from the Grand Theft Auto series, now exists outside the game. According to GameSpot, Rockstar Games and the burger company Skinny Louie have announced a partnership that turns Skinny Louie stores into Burger Shot locations until the end of the year.
The first stand is already open at the Kaseya Center, home arena of the Miami Heat. GameSpot reports that every Skinny Louie location in Florida will follow in early November, and the campaign runs through December 31. These dates come from GameSpot's report of the announcement. We have not seen a press release from Rockstar itself.
GameSpot describes the menu as "straight out of Vice City": smash burgers, fries and drinks, available in store or for delivery in South Florida.

Fans on X spotted it first. IGN credits @GTAVI_Countdown and @nvtnp_ with the first posts showing the arena's burger restaurant rebranded as Burger Shot, with Macca & Friends and Vice City posters inside the venue. Insider Gaming points to footage from OfficialJoelF of a Burger Shot meal at a Heat game, which showed that the stand is a rebranded Skinny Louie's.
Macca, for anyone who hasn't met him yet, is an animated alligator who appears in GTA VI. He and his friends now have a large mural at the Kaseya Center.
Burger Shot is not alone in the building. GTAVI_Countdown also posted an image of a Cluckin' Bell fried chicken stand at the arena. GameSpot says it is unknown whether Cluckin' Bell will show up anywhere outside it.
Not everyone in Miami is pleased. GameSpot reports that some local lawmakers objected to the takeover, saying the city is signing on to "depicting Miami like a murder capital". Others have answered that it is just a video game.
The restaurants are one part of a wider campaign in the city. IGN notes that a $975,000 "Welcome to Vice City" neon sign sits on top of the Kaseya Center, and that the Miami Heat will play one game as the Vice City Heat on November 18, with new jerseys and a GTA VI-themed court. Insider Gaming lists earlier stunts, including a Vice City blimp and real cars from the game on Miami streets.
IGN also mentions leaks suggesting Rockstar plans to sell beer brands from the game in Miami bars. That remains a rumor; Rockstar hasn't confirmed it.
Next up are the statewide Burger Shot openings in early November, then the Vice City Heat game on November 18. GTA VI releases a day later, on November 19, 29 days from today.
