The patch has arrived!

The first GTA 4 patch is finally available. As soon as we log on to LIVE, the 32.6 MB patch downloads automatically and installs within a few minutes. It fixes the following issues:

-The crash some German users got right after the official legal text - who owns which trademark, etc.

-Numerous improvements to the video editor: more fitting names, better quality.

-Bowling problems with mice of different sensitivities - I ran into it myself, and it went a lot better after switching to a higher sensitivity

-Shadow glitches fixed on the ATI 1900 series

-Graphics fixes to the particle system and the mirrors

-Remembers multiplayer character settings

-Support for DirectInput controllers. Note: the current hacked method may not work. We recommend removing the hack before patching.
