San Andreas Multiplayer - Beta 2
SA:MP team member kyeman has posted a list of the bugs that needed fixing and says the next official beta test is ready and will be released soon.
- Fixed the problems related to the EU version.
- Fixed passengers not always showing their weapons.
- Fixed the movements players made without knowing it.
- Fixed the visibility of remote players while aiming.
- Weapons can now be used inside buildings, too.
- Cheaters are banned automatically.
- The server also checks max_players and limits the number of bots.
- The radio is the most-improved part. If you tune it even once, it switches off immediately and there's silence.
He also told us what is coming in the future:
- Chat will be extended to ASCII, which supports Polish and Russian characters if you set that language as your default.
- The number of chatters will be increased.
- Checkpoints will also show up on the radar.
- You'll be able to turn on a floating arrow that marks the players.
- We'll be able to use the tuning shops, too.
So when can we try it out?
"The truth is, I don't know. We'll rework the beta a bit with 10-20 players before we make it public. Assuming we don't find a serious bug during the test, which is filling up my weekends."
