San Andreas in Japan and a GTA IV status report
The Japanese love San Andreas! Nothing proves it better than the fact that between January 15 and 22 more than 227 thousand copies were sold in the land of the rising sun, even though this masterpiece wasn't even on the shop shelves yet, since the game officially goes on sale in Japan on January 25. The huge advertising campaign has a lot to do with the game's great popularity! On public transport, eye-catching ads announce that San Andreas has made it to Japan too, and trucks painted with gorgeous San Andreas pictures are driving all over the country, promoting the game as well.
Now that GTA: SA has been released in Japan too, we can concentrate fully on the release of GTA IV! In the next 9 months (if all goes well) we'll get answers to a lot of open questions, for example: Which city will the story be set in? Who will the main character be? What will the basic story of the game be, and what extras will the Rockstar guys come up with? The usual wrangling will come as well. I'm thinking of Jack Thompson, who will try to mobilize every force on earth to prevent the fourth part from being released, or of the usual "Will the new part come out on PC?" soap opera.
In any case, we can say that we have an exciting 9 months ahead of us, to use a cheesy pun, and we hope that in the end it won't be a difficult birth!
