PC Problems
GTA 4 has finally come out on PC too, but sadly the joy isn't unclouded for many people. First of all, the system requirements are tough. The minimum should be taken seriously: with a single-core CPU you can forget it, and even with a dual-core a more powerful one wouldn't hurt.
The game also demands a good graphics card and rewards you for it, but unfortunately even that isn't always true. Radeon owners in particular may have a headache, since in many cases it simply refuses to start on HD4800 series cards, and there are problems with the HD3800s as well. Sad, but Rockstar promises a quick fix. Being an nVidia owner isn't all roses either, especially if we have a 7900 series card, on which nasty bugs show up. At least here there's an immediate solution: install the latest beta driver for it.
It's also pretty annoying that the Social Club client, Games for Windows LIVE and SecuROM have to run constantly alongside the game. The upside is that there's still no proper crack for the game, which is quite an achievement.
If you have a problem, feel free to turn to Rockstar and ring the phone number written in the manual.
