More GTA IV Information
New information has surfaced in GamePro magazine about GTA IV, which won't be released until 2008. Let's see what it is:
- Among other things, we'll come across the following ads on the billboards in the game: “Shark Credit Cards”, “Pirate Music”, “The Whiz”. The last one is a type of phone, which Niko uses too.
- In the videos so far we haven't seen anything of the HUD, and according to earlier news there wasn't supposed to be one, but the latest info says we'll get one after all. And it's the one we're used to from the previous GTA games, which the developers have only changed minimally, though the mini-map will now indicate more things.
- There were rumors about the Ammu-Nation, saying it would show off a new arsenal of weapons and equipment, but GamePro now denies this: the Ammu-Nation has been taken out of the game.
- The rocket launcher is definitely coming back.
- Wisecracks have always played a big part in the GTA games, and that won't change this time either: female pedestrians will shout (among other things) the following at their fellow women driving vehicles: “this shit is bananas!”
- As soon as Niko gets into a taxi, the taxi meter starts running on the screen.
- We'll be able to wear unique and real-life clothes in the game.
