GTA VI leaks: Take-Two wants records from Microsoft and Discord
Take-Two filed a DMCA subpoena request to find out who is behind the CyberLeek name. Microsoft and Discord have until September 4 to hand over records, and meanwhile a sixth leaked video has appeared.

Take-Two has gone to court to find out who is leaking GTA VI gameplay videos. Kotaku broke the story: on August 20 the publisher filed a DMCA subpoena request in the US District Court for the Southern District of New York, asking Microsoft and Discord for information. The target is the "CyberLeek" account, the name allegedly behind the recent leaks, and whoever runs it.

According to the filing, Take-Two's counsel submitted a sworn declaration that the subpoena is only meant to identify the alleged infringer or infringers, and that the information will only be used to protect Take-Two's rights. The copyrighted material includes audiovisual content, artwork, images, dialogue and other creative elements, and the filing says the list isn't limited to those.
Here's what they're asking for:
- From Microsoft: all internal business and investigative records from its own investigation of the "cyberleek" persona, to identify the people or entities behind it.
- For every account that communicated as a member of the listed Discord servers since June 1: account ID, registration email, registration and last-login IP addresses, phone number, linked connections (Google, Xbox and so on), device identifiers (MachineGuid, MSA), plus any GTA, Rockstar or Cyberleek content in their OneDrive.
- All of it by September 4.
The servers and handles named are CYBERLEEK, CINEMATICROCKSTAR, Surfer24k (with the replacement handles cyberleek_west and surwest), Ødyssey.gg, the "! Odyssey" public guild and, surprisingly, the server of DarkViperAU's editors. The YouTuber Matthew Judge, who has 2.27 million subscribers, was quick to respond: he says he knows nothing, that isn't his editors' Discord, and there aren't any clips of the leaks in either of his servers. He added that Rockstar hasn't emailed him.

Insider Gaming reports that the New York court has approved the subpoenas, though we don't have the details.
The leaker isn't slowing down either. On August 21, the fourth day in a row, a sixth video showed up, this time with a supercar, a memecoin ad and the watermark "HIGHER MARKET CAP = MORE LEEKS." Rockstar and Take-Two haven't said a word publicly so far, and IGN has asked both for comment.

Meanwhile, Grand Theft Auto VI: An Extended Look arrives next Thursday, August 27, as a Netflix exclusive for six hours before it reaches YouTube and other platforms. Six more sleeps. We're curious how many more videos turn up before then.
