GTA Multiplayer - All Ten
The American PSM isn't the first magazine to report on the new features of Vice City Stories - but this time we got a little more, as it shares previously unknown details about the game's multiplayer options.
- Vice City Survivor - A simple deathmatch mode. You can play 'free for all' as well as in team mode.
- Street Rage - A plain street race mode.
- Taken for a Ride - Similar to 'Capture the Flag' in other multiplayer games. Your job is to steal the other team's vehicle and take it back to your base. The team that steals more vehicles wins the round.
- Protection Racket - A game built on teamwork. The gangs have to destroy the vehicles parked at the enemy team's base.
- Tanks for the Memories - A tank is placed on the map, and you have to grab it and hold on to it for as long as you can.
- Grand Theft Auto - Steal it, sell it. You have to steal specified vehicles and drop them off in the target area. The better the condition of your car, the more money you pocket. At the end of the round, the player with the most money wins.
- Hit List - The task is very simple: if you're the target, hide and stay alive as long as possible, and remember, all the other players are hunting you.
- Empire Takedown - Both teams have a building they must defend. A bomb is placed on the map, which one of the teams has to arm in enemy territory. When the timer hits zero, the bomb goes off.
- Might of the Hunter - This mode is just like 'Tanks for the Memories', except here you have to hold on to a military helicopter for as long as possible.
- V.I.P. R.I.P. - There are two teams, and the defending team has a V.I.P., whose job is to collect five bags placed on the map. After completing that, he has to escape from the enemy team. If the V.I.P. dies, the attacking team wins the round.
The European release of the game is on November 5 (October 31 in North America), that is, next week Friday. Australian players will have to wait a bit longer, as they can get their hands on the game on November 10.
