Games Aktuell Preview Part 2

A few days ago we posted an alleged Games Aktuell preview, but it now looks like the one below is the real deal. Either way, the older information is not to be sneezed at either.

• Taxi drivers will play an important part in the game. If Niko wants to get from one point to another, all he has to do is call the taxi company and within a minute he can be standing at the chosen location. The drivers will even fulfil Niko's special requests: if he's hungry, the driver takes him to the nearest fast-food place, and if he's hurt, to the nearest hospital, so we can reach any place within a few seconds.
• The bad news is that we can't use the taxi service when the cops are on our tail.
• The cops searching for you will be marked by dots on the map.
• Niko regularly uses his mobile phone and the internet.
• On the streets of Liberty City, the journalists spotted Ferraris, Volkswagen Jettas, Porsche Carreras, BMWs, Mustangs, vans, armoured police cars and garbage trucks.
• Niko can use his mobile for lots of things, including making calls and sending instant messages (messenger programs), and it also has an organizer (calendar), a camera and a GPS function.
• The map will be the GPS system of Niko's mobile phone, which marks the fastest route to your destination in yellow.
• Aiming has been improved a lot, as a single target now has different hit zones.
• For the first time in the console history of the GTA games, our main character can turn in any direction - until now he could only do so in 8 directions.
• By "hotwiring" the car, the way you've seen it in the movies, Niko stole a car in 3 seconds.
• The drive-by shooting is a recurring element in the GTA games. In the new game, Niko's emotions show on his face even during a drive-by.
• In the mission where Niko had to kill the lawyer, there was a dialogue. When Niko pulled out his gun, Goldberg said the following: I'm not afraid of guns! Guns don't kill people! Video games kill people!
• In the shootout scene following the murder, the journalists saw the best GTA action so far. Niko had to shoot from cover while debris flew everywhere from the holes the bullets punched. One of the cops collapsed after Niko shot him in the knee.
