GamePlayer Preview & Screenshots
We've fallen behind on a few news items lately, but we're doing our best to catch up. Let me start with the fact that the new screenshots have arrived. Sadly they're not as big as we'd have liked, but even this little is good for something. - GYUFo breathes a sigh of relief. The Australian gaming site GamePlayer surprised us with a four-page GTA IV preview, hooray.
GTA IV has two aiming systems: one is lock-on (auto-aim), the other is manual (like in San Andreas). The auto-aim system works well from cover, for example when ducking behind a car.
Niko's phone plays an important part during the game. It won't only work as a phone: a calendar, multiplayer availability, and sending text messages to the friends you're playing with will all be possible from it. This device will do a great deal for the game's sense of realism. Because of this, the start-up menu was left out of the game, and it will probably get its place back in the PC version.
Just like in San Andreas, in this episode we can also place waypoints on the map
